A YEAR TO STEP UP AND STEP OUT
PIONEER
/BIONEER/ IMAGINEER
Here we go! This walk around the wheel of life offers us the chance
to look at time. How we use it, invest it, think about it, and certainly
to how we waste it. There is a considerable importance inherent
in how we visualize the twelve months ahead. Collectively 2008 asks
us to consider what it is we are each willing to start. Yet this
isn’t a normal number one- year of beginning again. What we
are doing now is building upon the foundation that we’ve laid
for the past nine years. This year we spiral up and out to encompass
a vital quality of manifestation.
So cast a line of thought out into the future and imagine for a
moment what this world might be like in 2017. Ask yourself what
looking forward can offer…build a vision…consciously and
conscientiously. Consider the ideas and dreams of your today that
will be growing from their seed form until their harvesting then.
This is a year for dreaming and doing simultaneously. Think BIG
PICTURE. Be aware of available materials. Couple this with the idea
of limitless possibility. Stretch the brain and don’t forget
to play!
A friend sent along the following communication at the close of
‘07 and I thought I’d share it with you for several reasons.
The first being that this year, perhaps more than we’ve seen
in the past decade, it pays to have a mentor and to be a mentor…so
here is someone we might all gain some insights from:

We are entering a new paradigm. Perhaps it is not a new paradigm.
Mystics, saints, and seers have advised, guided, taught us about
the nature of our Divinity since time
immemorial.
But it may be new in the sense that so many factors, prophecies,
and channellings of major teachers indicate we are heading for
a collective leap in consciousness, perhaps unparalleled in human
history. The reality is, for it to take place, we must each do
our part. We must each come into the states of heightened Grace
and Awareness that are our natural essence.
For many, it is a challenging time. Chaos seems upon us. Yet,
it is a time of birthing, of new emergence, of new awakening,
with the blessings of the Cosmos ready to empower us with all
the beauty and bliss of our highest potential. Dedicate yourself
to your own highest ideals! Embrace them, trust them, bring them
into reality!
Every thought, word, and deed, can and does make a difference.
Let us do this together. Indeed, we must, if it is to occur!
On the eve of this new year, continuing into this new millenium,
we send our dearest thoughts and blessings to each and every one
of you, that you may find your path, your joy, your renewal, your
awakening, your abundance, your beauty, the fullest sense of Your
Being, right where you left it, in your heart, awaiting your touching,
and igniting it, again.

Let’s
keep our eye on the idea of “birthing, new emergence, new awakening”
and consider these the type of seeds that we plant for the next
decade. It is indeed a beginning/renewing year. And what we place
into the ground of our being now will germinate, sprout and come
into abundant harvest by 2017…so enjoy the process of thinking
ahead.
Why is it useful to look into the distance to 2017? Because today,
and throughout this year, what we get involved in and how we respond
to situations before us (and more importantly, within us) will set
the tone for where we travel in the coming decade.
It’s a new day. Here are the first 4 Dictionary.com entries
for a most important concept of ‘08…that of being a pioneer:
1.
a person who is among those who first enter or settle a region,
thus opening it for occupation and development by others.
2. one who is first or among the earliest in any field of inquiry,
enterprise, or progress: pioneers in cancer research.
3. one of a group of foot soldiers detailed to make roads, dig
entrenchments, etc., in advance of the main body.
4. Ecology. an organism that successfully establishes itself in
a barren area, thus starting an ecological cycle of life. And
then there is the state of the art idea of being a Bioneer. I
would highly recommend that we each become familiar with the opportunities
that exist within this level of involvement…check out http://www.bioneers.org/
and see where you might fit as a student/teacher/mentor of new
thought and leadership.
We are made for these challenging times and challenge does not have
to be a negative. Challenge can be an edge place that opens us to
something more, that makes us different; as in less afraid. In 2008
we may notice an expanded sense of belonging to this new energy
frontier yet this will depend upon a willingness to show true strength
and an ability to speak up and speak out for these new times. The
energy of the year that we are stepping into is offering each of
us the chance to take on the role of spiritual pioneer/bioneer/imagineer,
a forger of new views and a leader of those who will follow. In
other words, we are each being offered the cloak of role model:
a person eminently skilled in something, such as an occupation,
an art, or a branch of science. 2008 asks us to be a person in charge
of our own thinking/feeling nature at the very least, as we contemplate
with tremendous inner strength, exactly what qualities are required
to effectively evolve as two leggeds on our planet home at this
unprecedented time.
The Universal Year (UY) for the previous twelve months (2007) brought
the energy of 27/9. It was about being generous, magnanimous and
interested in the highest good for all. It placed a focus on evolving
the best of what we are capable of, particularly in our humanitarian
goals. It has been a year for being a world server…a healer
activating either the fine arts or the healing arts in order to
bring a greater awareness of our collective potential to the day-to-day
workings of the world. If you attained a truer sense of cell-deep
compassion and willingness to consider the well-being of others
and if you are currently feeling compelled to move out into this
world to see what you can add in more substantial ways… then
welcome in 2008…this new world needs you!
This year the energetic qualities naturally shift to a higher octave,
that of 28/10 and the Universal Energy will be providing us thinking/feeling
critters with the chance to look honestly at the levels of leadership
and enterprise that we can create and disseminate.
Leadership is a dynamic word. It represents the ability to step
up and step out. Real, unadulterated leadership fosters mentoring
and the power to be true to the underlying strengths that contribute
to true place success. As we learn about and apply leadership qualities
and then step forward our own suffering and that of others declines
because we are actively engaged and we are doing something productive
about it. Now we are better prepared and can reach out to take action.
2008 is a ‘doing’ year. DO you’re your dream…make
it active and give it form. 2008 is a twelve-month cycle that allows
each of us the energy and the materials to manifest the highest
good of all…even if it’s only in our own back yard.
The 28/10 level of energy that this year carries requires that we
really think about the direction we’re moving. It’s a
no nonsense sort of vibe that says ‘what you see is truly what
you get’. Bitch n’ moan and you will see your life situations
take you to the local landfill. Find a way to weave a fabric of
vision, mission and values and watch the door swing open year by
year throughout the decade ahead. Think of being a pioneer/bioneer/imagineer
of the spirit. This is a year for playing that role in all the ways
you can manage and imagine. Many individuals who lead effectively
and from the heart have come to terms with their own inner demons
of disappointment, disapproval and embarrassment. They keep on keepin’
on and by demonstrating an awareness of true security they lay down
an electric lit energy trail so well illuminated that others can
more easily follow. Let your light shine! Without judging the means
by which some have and some have not we can simply imagine how in
this twelve months before us we might each step into a confident
and visionary way of living so as to enhance the environment in
which we dwell.
In 2008 we will continue to learn much about the need to balance
the forces of light and dark. This past year helped us discover
new and additional tools. We were given, through the Universal Energy
of 2007, the capacity to forgive, release and reconnect with compassion.
And as asked in last year’s Lifecycle Forecast: ‘Do I
carry my piece of a vision for collective good? Is my desire cavernous
and am I dedicated to my ability to make a difference in the situation
here and now?’ In Tibetan Buddhism there is reference to doing
our practice ‘as if our hair is on fire’…in other
words, no time to waste…that’s fitting for the way to
move through this year ahead.
Last year we were offered situations and opportunities for gaining
deeper levels of kindness and for paying it forward. Now we’re
building off of this base of selfless service and when we are of
service we have an inner security and the quiet determination to
help without thought of return.
Gaze out at the blank slate that is before us and ask, ‘Do
I lead through my vision? Do I see a way of working for the collective
good? Am I secure enough to let my voice be heard and my light shine?
Maybe. Maybe not. And certainly none of us are at 100%. Yet in asking
these questions we can move, month by month, toward a deeper spirit
of ‘we’re all in this together’ because we will each
be an inquiring mind seeking the direction for doing our part. This
continued striving is admirable provided that in our participation
we don’t ignore or deny the shadowy parts of ourselves ever
calling to be illuminated. During this past year many of us may
have discovered or uncovered aspects of the fear-filled dark side,
the monsters, dragons and strange beliefs that we carry and that
can be found lurking and hidden in the physical, emotional or spiritual
zones. Certainly we’ve watched these collective shadows and
the forces of nature continue to escalate in their dance on the
world stage.
The power of 2008 collectively, as seen through the Universal Energy,
is that of finding a higher degree of beginning again. When we come
into contact with situations, circumstances and relationships that
challenge our internal freedom we will be well served by monitoring
our actions with a confident vision and, again, asserting a positive
vitality that freshens stale air, to be part of the solution and
to stop complaining about the problems, to practice ‘the art
of the start’, and to continue to move in the direction that
brings an increased feeling of being joyfully alive. These twelve
months will offer us collectively the greatest chance within the
context of this new nine-year cycle, to birth a new world view,
as we continue to do all that we are able to express the highest
good for all.
1999 was the last time this energetic quality came to call. It was
obviously a very different world back then. Where were you and what
were your experiences? Perhaps nine years ago you needed a lift.

Keep in mind that this Lifecycle Forecast is representative of the
Universal Energy system that acts like an umbrella over us all.
Realize that whatever you were giving birth to a nine years ago
is energetically matured now. If those seeds rotted in the ground
and did not produce what you had hoped for then 2008 is the year
to replant the seedbed for what you will be growing for the coming
nine years. How exciting is that!? We can be deliberate. We can
focus. We can have a new sense of vision and values. We can step
into this timeline with the awareness that we get what we ask for
whether we want it or not. If you grew a healthy, flourishing plot
between 1999 and 2007 then be prepared to take your skills to the
next level of master gardener. If you are less than satisfied with
the general lay of your inner land then this is the time to till
the field of your being and plant what you truly want. At the beginning
of a cycle we are asked to hold a vision of what is possible and
to reach even further than that to find our guiding star.
Experience the vibrant quality of this new beginning… all over
the globe there will be a pulse-point of taking a new direction
and visualizing what is necessary to accomplish collective goals…
as we set these seeds in the ground and look at the compassionate
leadership role we play as global citizens we’ll see new ideas
surface for ways in which to safely grow and harmoniously evolve.
Using numerology, the reading of vibrational energy fields, as a
window into the year ahead we find this to be a Universal Year #
28/10. The universal quality of any given year points us in the
direction of how best we can each align with our role as a Planetary
Citizen. The UY also lets us see, sense and feel when we miss the
mark. Shirley Blackwell Lawrence in her book "Behind Numerology"
explains that “both heaven and hell have the 10 root, but
heaven’s root total of 28, new experiences and unlimited opportunity,
while hell’s root of 19 shows there is a karmic lesson to be
learned.” She says: “the 2 is the peacemaker and
the 8 is the executive of good judgment. The 28 is known as the
“breaking number.” New experiences are in store, surprises
and unlimited opportunity…a new beginning.” There is before
us in 2008, an opportunity to move day by day in a direction that
can satisfy our spiritual hunger for a new garden of unity and fellowship.
Here we go.
ARE
YOU A LAZY BONES OR A LEADER?
It’s
a fresh slate. We can benefit by paying attention. This is a conversion
point. It offers us vibrancy and increased energy as we grow for
the greater good. ‘Dream and do, dream and do, dream and do’
is a fabulous mantra for now.
I consider this level of energy that of the ‘The Road Not Taken’.
It spurs us on to choose the path that is most meant for us and
simultaneously challenges us to trust that life will support us
in our choice. This is a direct energetic line to The
Fool’s Journey and the wellspring of ideas that assist
us in our greatest life adventure.
When we are out of alignment with this force we experience discouragement
and are in fact aggressive in our stance. So that rather than being
a healing presence we act as a poison within the environment and
contaminate everything around us. This is not where we want to be
making our energetic deposits as we open up this brand new nine-year
pattern.
28/10 rules cycles and solutions. Look in the direction of entrepreneurship
or strike out on a new course of action to advance a cause. In these
areas we know that great courage is required and many years of self-starting
are needed to achieve any hint of ability to lead others. Whether
it’s a wish to create a new thought system, invention, model
for living or head out on a ‘road not taken’ let your
voice be heard. Experience and face your own inner demons and dragons.
Likewise elect to create the path through the landfill of accumulated
and even hoarded human baggage. This entails a tremendous capacity
to keep both feet on the ground. Look for inner security. When we
reach this 28/10 level of energy we are being asked to accomplish
even more, as if we are climbing a new mountain and connecting to
unseen helping hands… moving forward and upward.
Some keywords/phrases that will lead us up the High Road throughout
this year are: change of attitude, new thought, start, confidence,
SELF-assurance, positive future, poise, proactive, expansion, create,
vitality, shine, and conversion point. Some of the words that conform
to a path that leads down a slippery slope are: unstable, aggression,
timid, discouraged, laziness, anger, insecurity, impulsive, holding
grudges, hell-realm and loner. Take any of these words and look
them up in the dictionary then ask each of them to tell you about
the way in which it lives through you. You may find it helpful to
journal your responses to gain insight as to how to move forward
expressing genuine empowerment.

SELF-ACCEPTANCE
You

The oak said it was dying because it could not be tall like the
pine. Turning to the pine, he found it drooping because it was unable
to bear grapes like the vine. And the vine was dying because it
could not blossom like the rose.
Then he found one plant, hearts-ease, blooming and as fresh as ever.
Upon inquiry, he received this reply:
“I took it for granted that when you planted me you wanted
hearts-ease. If you had desired an oak, a vine or a rose, you would
have planted them. So I thought, since I can be nothing but what
I am, I shall try to be that to the best of my ability.”
You are here because this existence needs you as you are! Otherwise
somebody else would have been here. You are fulfilling something
very essential, something very fundamental, as you are.
Why should you become a Buddha? If God had wanted another Buddha
he could have produced as many Buddhas as he wanted. He produced
only one Buddha, and that was enough. Since then he has not produced
another Buddha, or another Christ. He has created you instead. Just
think of the respect the universe has given you! You have been chosen—
not Buddha, not Christ, not Krishna.
Their work is done, they have contributed their fragrance to existence.
Now you are here to contribute your fragrance.
Just look at yourself. You can be only yourself…there is no
possibility that you can be anybody else. You can enjoy it and bloom,
or you can wither away if you condemn it.

For the first twenty-four days of this moon cycle feel the fresh
opportunity. Do all that is useful, beneficial, of no harm. The
vibrations that swirl about us ask us to lighten up on our grasping
for particular outcomes. Laugh often. Even though it is a year for
new beginnings there is no reason to assume that we know the best
of what the beginning opportunities are. This cycle it’s better
to invest in visualizing what is possible than to think we can ever
figure out what will possibly be. The quality of the cycle is attuned
to spiritual strength and will. That’s a kind of code for allowing
things to BE and finding our place within the flow of WHAT IS. Keep
in mind that all this year security and courage will be a matter
of free will. Choose and choose again…starting now. When we
look first to the culture to supply elemental qualities of security
we are likely to forfeit our true power every time.
We can apply this chant and feel the buoyancy

The
first twenty-four days of this moon cycle continue to bring us into
clearer contact with our sense of identity and self-esteem. In this
year of new beginnings it’s a good cycle for focusing in on
the birth of what feels new within you. Keep in mind that the Universal
Energies are affecting each and every one of us so if we can be
the one within our circle who is consciously connected we can actually
assist in the transformation of the world. As heady as that sounds
it makes sense. The 21st century is leading us into a new way of
relating with the Divine Feminine, the receptive side of our self,
and it’s still so new that it feels quite foreign. Therefore
any one who steps up and decides to claim this renewed sense of
identity in this beginning year helps us all.
On March 1st the energy shifts to that of opening the heart to the
work that is yours to do. Perhaps it’s time to set some new
boundaries and to protect what feels precious within you. Real heart
work is in the knowing how to connect to the joy that you were born
to express. It requires endurance to live enough life to come to
the place where you realize what you are here for. Again and again
remind yourself that you can start again now. You can claim your
true nature. You can express the true you…and you need not
apologize to anyone for honoring the self that you are in your heart.

The first twenty-five days of this moon cycle continue to connect
to your true work and the boundaries necessary to make the space
to accomplish that work. Work of the heart is readily available
and eager to be called in. Think Spring. This is a time for love
and freshness. Make the space in your heart for what really matters.
Ask the questions that are on the tip of the tongue most all the
time: ‘What now?’ ‘What next?’ ‘What, in
my heart of hearts, really matters?’ ‘What would love
do now?’ Pay attention to the guidance that you receive. Once
more, write things down in a journal or notebook to refer to later
in the year. December will bring a similar quality back around to
offer us success with whatever we are focusing upon now.
On April 1 and for the last 4 days of this cycle the opportunity
arrives to change or release something that really needs to go.
Think about emotional freedom and sense the adventure that you are
on as you step out of your comfort zone to explore. With the new
moon on April 5 the ‘change energy’ continues.

The
energy of ‘divine discontent’ and confusion continues
to visit for the next 26 days as April unfolds. Being restless and
anxious can obviously be cause for concern. Throughout April we
are asked to calm down so that we can sense other directions for
the transformation that is most appropriate. But we tend to freak
out when we are offered the chance to make changes. We can spiral
into obsessive/compulsive patterns that usurp the opportunity to
enlist in the adventure before us.
Be brave, be very brave and face the demons of the habitual parts
of your self that try to keep you living in fear, at worst or at
best, in the status quo.
Do something harmless and fun…try wearing a different style,
put on new colors, eat foods foreign to your taste buds, go some
place different, break out of your mold in some way. Take a class
or a trip and notice notice notice the world as if for the first
time.
This cycle rules the energy of addiction and so be very honest about
what you are locked into, be real about what has you by the throat.
Then, with a vengeance, see if you need help to release your grasp,
or the grasp it has upon you…if so, ask for that help to assist
you now in becoming free of these unhealthy attachments whether
to person, place or thing.
The month of May brings a focus upon relationships. Balance is the
lesson at all times in this arena and so think about and consider
the ways in which you might bring more attention to your own center
as the cycle opens. Funny thing that so little of you education,
if any, is spent in helping us to be balanced beings, so along comes
this cycle and it’s spotlight of seeing and sensing and feeling
the relationship between the inner male and the inner female dwelling
within. Do you know these parts of yourself? Here in 2008 we are
at the threshold of a whole new way of relating to the world. Can
we each look inward to glimpse the way in which we move and breathe
and function either as whole and harmonized or as distrustful and
fragmented?

We now have 27 days of this cycle to continue to reform the relationship
that we have first, with the self, and then with others. This is
the time to take responsibility for the way in which you respond
to your own self-talk and to the communications you exchange with
others. Cut your self some slack. Be overly kind if you are prone
to be the one who is easily rattled. We’re five months into
the year of new starts, fresh beginnings and it is time to cast
a line out into the future. Not so that we can predict the outcome
but rather so that we can visualize the possibility. During this
cycle it could be powerful and relevant to consider the relationships
that are most important to you and whether they will be able to
go the distance…all the way out to 2017…and beyond. Naturally
you will look at the relationship that you have with your precious
self first of all. There probably isn’t any more challenging
and useful work at this time than to check in with who you have
become and to see if you feel connected to that you. If not, enlist
the assist of an inner feng shui practioner. I don’t know what
that person will look like or what their qualifications will be
yet if you consider finding someone to help you bring your self
back into balance and congruence you’ll be on the right track.
June is offering us the time to meditate on what we’ve learned
thus far. Consider it the cycle that brings you the opportunity,
for the year, to clean house and put things in priority. Putting
things into priority isn’t something that we give a lot of
time and attention to. Here we have the chance to look at what is
really meaningful at this time of forging a new, or renewed, sense
of purpose. When I think of this energy and consider its true purpose
it is to help us rise above fear and find the wisdom of love for
where we are and for what we’re doing. If that idea doesn’t
compute for you then travel back to May and see what it is that
you didn’t release…it’s never too late to let go.

28 days into this cycle, or the remainder of the month of June brings
us the continuing quality of clearing away the excess so that we
can discern the essence of what is truly working. This clearance
is best approached in each of the main areas of life: physical,
emotional and spiritual. This is a perfect place to pause in the
constant motion of the year and to take time out to meditate on
what is happening in each of these zones. Are we, as the classic
question asks, human doings or human beings? Figure this out before
the first of July since the energy then is going to want to sweep
us up in the dynamic action that is required to make the whole year
hum. Think of this near four-week period as an extended cleaning
house (you being the house) and you’ll be on the right track
for what is to follow.

Come July we pop. The vibe is catapulting us into the mainstream,
the market place, and the land of investments, acquisitions and
‘I want what I want when I want it’. It can be draining,
yet if we’ve prepared it can be exhilarating and inspired.
Truth is we actually misinterpret this quality when we read it as
I’ve just stated…it’s really much more than that.
It’s more about trusting that all the resource we require comes
to us at the appropriate time in the appropriate manner without
our constant strain and trying to make things happen. We’re
such go-getters though that we’ve lost the ability to ‘go
with the flow’.
What a grand experiment it would be to see if during this cycle
we couldn’t simply witness life working. This energy says ‘be
a spiritual master of the physical plane’. What a concept.
We can practice now.
This is the first time all year when the sun and the moon are riding
together in the same space of time…this makes it easier than
ever to get on track with what we give and what we receive. Try
to monitor the tendency to lunge toward or back away from what’s
happening in your life and simply allow what is. We get so squirmy
when we have no reason to be. Working with these energies really
just puts into a harmonious flow and being there we sense the intuitive
next step and before we know it we’re actually in a space of
sufficiency and joy…check back to May to be certain that you
released the emotional detritus so that no one is pulling you down.

We continue on the path of sun and moon in shared space so that
all we need to focus upon this moon cycle is the idea of evolution.
Reminder…this is a Universal Year we’re addressing here
so we keep in mind how much each one of us in our own unique way
can have an impact on our world. It’s miraculous and marvelous
and true. One person can change the world. It doesn’t happen
often yet in a year like this it’s worth the effort to dwell
in that zone.
Something that I haven’t mentioned until now is that everything
that we’ve been doing since January is really a wobbling between
where we’ve come from and where we’re heading. It isn’t
until next moon that we really kick into gear with the whole idea
of starting fresh. We’ve needed these first nine cycles to
remember the reason for stepping through the doorway into this pioneering/bioneering
arena.
Back to the idea of evolution, which rhymes with revolution, and
requires a solution in order to actually be of worth. We don’t
evolve just by dreaming we have to have a path of action. The energy
here and now is about the compassion to act for the highest good
of all. This is the time to consider what can help rather than what’s
in it for me. What a great time to reconnect to the Golden Rule.

Two days into this cycle we enter into the energy field that we’ve
been working up to all year. It is the conversion point and here
is where we will get a glimpse, a taste and a feeling if we have
actualized the opportunity to be revitalized, re-invigorated and
simply jazzed about life as we’ve invested in it so far. Let’s
not get too distracted by what’s taking place ‘out there’.
This work is about balance of the inner with the outer and that
requires just a bit more emphasis on the former in order to put
the latter into proper perspective. Some of the wisest teachers
to ever visit this dimension have touted the importance of recognizing
that there is no ‘out there’ that we create it all in
our mind, that we make it all up. Well, be that as it may here we
are at the place within the year when we can be honorary members
of the pioneer/bioneer spirit just to see what it feels like to
wear that cloak for this time.
See, sense and feel every aspect of your life as if for the first
time. Look around and celebrate the beauty and the wonder that surrounds.
If you can’t see it go back to May and see what it is that
you’ve carried forward past its time. Whatever it is practice
the art of forgiveness. Forgive yourself. Forgive the situation.
This is a point of division…either we take ourselves down the
‘quiet path in summer’ or into the toxic chemical dumpsite…you

Pay particular attention to the days that visit in October. They
will provide us with an energy preview of the coming year. Now we
are given the chance to receive the sacred. Open to the ideals that
you dream of seeing materialize. Within the bookends of these 31
days practice the role of the master and launch your spiritual invention,
your vision, your plan to improve general welfare within your community
and through transference to the world.
In many ways we are each preparing throughout this year for the
opportunity to experience mastery in ’09 so consider the ideas
and information that are within you and the ways in which, thus
far this year, you’ve released the splendor of your Higher
Mind.
Once again, as in January ’08, the overarching quality of this
month (moon) is that of spiritual vision and ideals expressed.

It’s not a bad idea to think about what needs to die, timely
too, as we reach the
Day of the Dead, all Hallow’s Eve, All Saints Day and the
general year-end period of release.
As October closes and we step into the main energy of this cycle
we find that following death comes rebirth. Ask yourself ‘Who
am I now?’ Be willing to sense a new identity; an identity
rich in beauty, poetry, art, optimism and humor. How fine to notice
these traits within ourselves as the year wraps round to a close.
It’s the quieting time in the natural cycle of the year. Notice
the rhythm of nature and be brave enough to echo this still point.
Contrary to what the outer world suggests the only way to really
know who you are is to allow solitude. Take some time for this now
and there will be a grand balance of choosing your community with
a sense of intuitive guidance and awareness. If we were all to listen
to the still small voice within during this cycle, for even 15 minutes
a day, It would most likely help us to see and sense and feel the
true success of who we are in this NOW moment. What could be greater
than that?

Open your heart. Here we are, another walk around the Medicine Wheel
of Life is soon behind us. During this cycle it’s all about
the work of your heart and the ability that you’ve gained to
set appropriate boundaries so that you can focus upon your goals.
There will always be situations, circumstances and challenges to
distract us but we close the year with the chance to re-consider
where true passion lies.
The year began with the spotlight on creative wisdom and it closes
with the beam upon disciplined organized and sincere heart-song.
Don’t be afraid to cut loose from that which attempts to hold
you in the status quo. Be the authority, the power, the dynamic
and decisive being that the year has prepared you to be. Recognize
the structure that you have built off of the quality of leadership
that imbues this twelve-month walk and do what needs to be done
here at the wind down to secure your concentration.
The circle of the Universal Year is now coming to completion. Let’s
weave together the overarching action oriented/leadership theme
of the year with the contemplative/reflective aspects of this cycle.
Notice a feeling of heart to heart healing. The Universal Year #28/10
has carried us forward and upward toward a more spirited and ground
breaking heart/mind. Let’s gather the strength that we have
forged. Let’s close this year with the wherewithal to step
across the threshold into the 2009 as true to you as you can dream
of being. Keep in mind that what seeds you’ve planted, what
steps you’ve taken, what action you’ve accomplished will
now continue to unfold for the next 8 years. It will be 2017 before
we will see the full extent of what we’ve now sown.
Hopefully we have each in our own way found a quietly empowered
way in which to lead and mentor. This time period is a kin to being
visionary and willing to do whatever it takes to be a way shower
to those in need. There is a deep sense of assertive strength.
What a wonderful gift; the ability to step up and out. Let’s
see if we can walk our talk with our feet firmly planted on the
ground at this special time of the year.

The 28/10Year in a cycle of Universal Years brings us to the point
of beginning. How grand. It shows us what we are made of as adults
and elders and instills within us a force for way-showing love and
a pioneering spirit. Practice the art of leadership and action,
cycle by cycle, joining with the Highest Good for all in mind and
heart.
Each day continues to have the capacity to change us forever as
we barrel on into the new millennium. It can be helpful to remember
that the present energetic set-up starts with Level Two energy…as
in the 2000’s. This force is asking us to begin every thought,
every action and every emotion with a focus upon being receptive
and enlisting the power of the creative use of our imagination.
The millennium of the 2000’s teaches us that we are now here
for the purpose of ‘Being Peace’. This directive demands
tremendous skill. Think and feel: seeds of action. Moving forward
we can become better with each year of practice. 2008 turned us
toward the future…a collective vision for the decade before
us. Our individual life will continue to indicate where we need
to release the past so as to allow a new and vital life force to
flow through us.
