“I open the door to dream
and step into a higher dimension
where everyone may exist
in a more perfect state.”

~ Crystal Journey Candles

“There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all of time, this expression is unique.  And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and it will be lost.  The world will not have it.  It is not your business to determine how good it is nor how valuable nor how it compares with other expressions.  It is your business to keep it yours clearly and directly, to keep the channel open.”
~ Martha Graham

“What could have been said by someone other than you, do not say it.
What would have been done by someone other than you, do not do it.
Of yourself be interested only in those aspects that do not exist except in you.
Patiently, or impatiently, create out of yourself the most unique and irreplaceable of beings.”
~Andre Gide

“From a small seed a mighty trunk may grow.”
~Aeschylus
From a Traditional Medicinals tea tag

This is the first mandala I have created from start to finish for this journal. As I have mentioned, October always gives us an inkling of what the next year will hold.    One year ago October, I asked Sunny to teach me how she creates these beautiful mandalas.  Over several months we texted back and forth and then I had to let go of the process as we were moving.  Little did I know then that it would be the end of my lessons and I would forge ahead without my mentor though I do believe she guides me from the other side. There is, indeed, a learning curve.  Instead of receiving the gift of her mandalas and deciphering what they’re saying to me, I now sleuth out the energy patterns and try to convey what I’m “hearing.”  They will be simplistic as I learn the software and what I can do with it as well as “reading” what those energy patterns are saying to me.  I’m sure my practice will grow over time.  Now, on to the Aquarius New Moon Mandala.

February invites me down a path I might not otherwise travel.  As I have shared with you, several years ago a spiritual practice or tool accompanied a tea I ordered each month.  Unfortunately the teas are no longer available but I keep up with the practices. February nudges us to “see beyond the surface,” to dream beautiful dreams and/or ask for guidance on an issue that’s troubling us.  With the Aquarius Tea came a set of oracle cards and an encouragement to “be playful, dynamic and creative in your usage of the oracle and let life surprise you!” (Moondance Botanicals)  I am a firm believer that God meets us where we are and decided to give this practice a try.  I have to say I found it very enlightening.  Each year I give something a go… the cards that were sent with the tea, a pick a card a day from the Marjor Arcana of a beautifully illustrated tarot deck (very archetypal). I even ordered a tie dye magic 8 ball one year.  Tie dye is a “color” associated with Aquarius and the 8 Ball a type of oracle.  This year I used a rune set given to me at Christmastime.  I typically did a daily draw of one rune though on a couple of days I drew more.  13 runes in the set… as of this writing: one I never saw, several I saw only once, and 3 I saw 5 times each… one actually hopped out of the bag one day.  The general theme of the 3 most seen were 1) end of an era (energy of 9 – endings and beginnings), 2) messages from the other side (energy of 7/inspiration) and 3) waves (purification, land of the dead, water, emotions, healing).

Interestingly enough, the harmonics, as Sunny taught me, show up in an amplified 7, (7+7) again inspiration… and 9, end of an era and possible beginnings.  Earth element was very strong so I added several squares to ground us.  The inspiration (7+7) is in dream mode right now so very interior – a glimmer in the eye, so to speak –  the nines are opening and closing… ending and beginning.  And then there’s the 1 and the unity of it all.  Don’t read too much into the color of the eye.  I chose electric blue as it is also a color associated with Aquarius. I envision this eye to be an interior eye. It never sleeps.

“I close my eyes so that I might see.”
~ Gaugin

This lovely quote was referenced often during  Donna Drozda’s Free 8 Day Jump Start Challenge in which I was fortunate to take part.  During the challenge we were invited to dream.  Dreaming has always been a challenge for me.  If I can connect to a dream well enough to actually name it, it is often followed by so much self doubt… “Do I know enough?” “Can I really do this?” “Is this the right time?” “Is it right for me?” Through this event, traveling in the company of other dreamers, other “Possibilitarians” who shared their dreams, I was able to put some dreams down on paper this year and then actually engage in next steps.  Dreams, you know, are just the beginning.  I could see a way forward for many of my dreams.  When we dream we tap into possibilities… we begin to engage the possibility of creating something and bringing it into being – to manifesting that which is important or meaningful to us…. that which calls to us… taps us on the shoulder…. nudges us… perhaps puts a glimmer in our eye and plucks at our heart strings.  To bring forth what is uniquely in us to do, to create the “Master Peace” as Donna so often shares, without judgement or attachment to how it will be received or how far it will go. (Possibilitarian is a term Donna used during this Challenge.)

One day this cycle I was inspired by an onion sitting on the counter.  Again, God meets us where we are and uses everything to convey a message.  Every year about this time the onions, the garlic, and the sweet potatoes start to grow. Spring is coming and right now, the plants don’t need anything.  They don’t need a container. They don’t need dirt. They don’t’ need water. They don’t need fertilizer.  They don’t need many of the things one associates with growing plants – and yet, just sitting there on my kitchen counter, they sprout.  They have everything they need within them to start the process… everything they need… and so do we, dear Possibilitarians… so do we.  One of my dreams was to continue this beautiful and meaningful practice begun by Sunny.   Sunny’s beloved, David, and I had a lovely conversation this cycle as well, about how he’s doing – which is quite well all things considered; about the future of the website and the future of this journal – which, gratefully, will continue.  Please join me in sending continued prayers David’s way to strengthen him and love to carry him as he navigates his way forward.

With events as they are in the world right now, I also encourage us to not get bogged down in fear, anger, resentment, frustration, disgust, etc.  Witness your feelings, yes. Feel them, yes. We are all part of a unified whole and these lower level vibrations dampen the collective mix.   Each cell of the body matters.  As quickly as you can transmute those feelings and shift gears to hold the highest possible vibration you can muster… among them love, compassion, empathy for all parties… and pray for the good of all… sending out your love/compassion/empathy out into the world.

Though I was a young child when he walked the earth, I find Martin Luther King Jr.’s voice to be an inspiration at this time.  I invite you to google his words, especially those on love… and dream. Dream the most beautiful dream you can imagine to lift the heaviness that is in the world.  Dream your best dream… your favorite dream… the dream that is uniquely yours… the dream that calls to you, taps you on the shoulder, nudges you, puts a glimmer in your eye and plucks at your heart strings.  Do not be concerned right now with the how – that will come it due time.  For now,  if for just a few minutes a day… just, dream, dear Possibilitarian, just… dream.

Love, Hugs and Blessings,
L xoxxx
