Bridging the Years

Vibrant WordMy word for 2015 was Vibrant.

The journal prompts in Unraveling 2016 start by reviewing 2015. Here’s a brief summation of my discoveries thus far:

My word for 2015 was Vibrant. I choose it as a model for colorful, healthy & energetic year. Admittedly, my new nickname carries the symbolism, as does the bright pink streak I put in my hair to celebrate my birthday but more than anything, the word supported an unusually active social life, which in turn provided some much needed R&R.

Before the review, I was feeling as though I’d daydreamed the year away. While that does correspond with transiting Neptune opposing my natal Sun and 2015 being a #9 personal year, so does becoming lost in the creative process. I was pleasantly surprised at how the periods of lost time were fairly well balanced between writing about lunar cycles and phases, meditating in the garden lanai, working on the website design, and spending time with family and friends.

My biggest achievement in 2015 was publishing the new website when it was in an unfinished and imperfect state. This may sound silly but it is a big deal for me. A life-long need for perfection limiting my self-expression for fear of criticism… finally surpassed. Ah Ho!

Moving on with the Last Quarter themes. I wrote in the Zodiac Arts Moon Phase Journal that January 3 – 5 are excellent days to draw information from your unconscious and recommended consulting an oracle for insight.

This is a screen shot of my readings (free at GAIAN TAROT):

The Opportunity — all last year I knew I was on the brink of change. It comes with reading the signs, yet defining the change has been beyond my grasp. It is exciting and unnerving to live in this limbo. I can feel it building and recognize that it will be well into 2017 before I’ll know how well I’ve responded.

The Challenge — preparing for change takes stamina and courage.

The Resolution — 2016 is my #1 personal year. I am beginning a new phase of my life, the first year of a new decade.

I’ve made some decisions about the future and what I’d like to develop this year. More on that and my word for 2016 soon…
