Intentions need a second look

Aquarius Cycle – Gibbous Phase

As I take that second look, I’m aware of the Gibbous tendency to self-doubt. It’s so easy to slip into judgement and comparison. I have to remind myself that these mental patterns dissipate my energy.

Taming the Monkey Mind

This is the phase for revising our goals to bring them into alignment with our emotional needs. The better we can envision our goals, the more likely we are to succeed.

The monkey is a trickster.

My intentions for this cycle had been centered around business goals. A terrible accident involving my grandson and a cancer diagnosis for two of my closest friends, has made me realize that my wishes include as much time and space for my friends and family as there is for my work.

Those of you who know me personally or via facebook know that the three of us have been friends since 1962 and have spent a week-long winter retreat together every year since January 2000. Our scheduled retreat for 2016 was cancelled in January, upon news of the second diagnosis.

My girlfriends were both born in the year of the Monkey.

Continuing  with the second round of refining my intentions…

Reviewing and rephrasing my post with my intentions for the cycle:

My dreams for the future include ZodiacArts.com becoming profitable by educating and inspiring others.
I hope reforming my spiritual and physical practices will fulfill my wishes to contribute something of value to the world.
Whatever form it takes, I must have as much free time as I currently enjoy.

The wobble effect of the Gibbous phase causes insecurities. I am trusting I have all the tools I need to move head with my goals. After all,  my Gibbous phase mantra is — “self-trust is the first secret of success”.

MonkeyLipsA little monkey business this weekend might refine my visions further.

What are your experiences with the Monkey Mind?
