Gemini

The sign of Gemini is associated with information, communication, duality, and mentality. The house holding Gemini in the natal chart shows an area of life where one can be inconsistent, argumentative, and cunning, as well as adaptable, perceptive, and socially adept. Gemini is a mutable sign, ruled by Mercury, with an emphasis on variety and versatility. Issues involving primary education, language, journalism and transportation become accentuated during Gemini.

Sabian Symbol for 15º Gemini:

“Two Dutch Children Talking To Each Other, Exchanging Their Knowledge.” This degree signifies the need to communicate one’s experience with another in order to view it objectively.

Highlights of the New Moon at 14º Gemini 53″:

This Gemini lunation cycle is about adapting to change and increasing knowledge via connection with others. With six planets making a grand cross in mutable signs there is a building tension in search of release. The continued retrograde activity of  Mars, Saturn, and Pluto suggests that it will be another month before any forward motion will be seen.

Sun and Moon conjunct Venus; all 3 square Jupiter and septile Uranus:

Heightened curiosity and short attention spans keep things superficial while producing an overwhelm of information. The desire for pleasure encourages overindulgence. A generalized restlessness amps up the tension.

Saturn square Neptune:

Delays in progress and disintegration of structures. Nebulous conditions foster confusion. Difficulties telling the difference between illusion and reality.

The key phrase for Gemini is “I Think”.
Gemini sits in the southern end of the eastern quarter on the Medicine Wheel.

Gemini correlates to Illumination, the third step on the Eastern pathway of Sun Bear’s Medicine Wheel. The renewal process of the Aries cycle led to clarity and a fresh vision of yourself, which in turn led to a better understanding and wiser use of your personal resources during the Taurus cycle. The Gemini cycle offers enlightenment via information, education, and connection with others.

Our advice for this 29.6-day cycle:

Pay attention to the quality of your thoughts. They shape the quality of your life.

Since you know that signs of external progress will take another month to unfold, we recommend dedicating this cycle to exploring and enhancing your use of language. Focus on using your creativity and imagination to develop your communication skills. Exchange information and ideas. Communicate who you are and what you love. Listen and learn. Start a journal. Take a creative writing class. Speak with sensitivity. Tell a story. Write poetry. Sing love songs.

We will be posting suggested activities and exercises appropriate for each phase in the Zodiac Arts Moon Phase Journal.

Questions to ask yourself for additional insight:

  • How are your thoughts contributing to your personal development?
  • What triggers your curiosity?
  • When and with whom are you most verbal?
  • Are there words or phrases you use repeatedly?
  • How are your relationships with siblings and/or neighbors?
  • How might you communicate with greater clarity?
  • What situations bring out the student, teacher or debater in you?
  • Do you speak your truth?
Affirm: I Am A Messenger of Love.
