Gemini Mandala: Change
May 22, 2020
I have been growing edible flowers in my Aerogarden this spring. All the green foliage I have been seeing for such a tiny flower was the inspiration for this mandala. Such change… from a tiny seed… to huge root balls and beautiful greenery all in a matter of weeks – quite symbolic of tremendous change.
Whenever I see a square and a square set on point, it indicates change to me. What was once stable is now unstable or vise verse. In addition, I have been working with “Signs of Life: The Five Universal Shapes and How to Use Them” by Angeles Arrien. The Spiral is one of the five shapes she describes. Spiral indicates change. I don’t typically “tamper” with Sunny’s mandalas but this one just wanted spirals… LOTS and LOTS of spirals.
White for purity and new beginnings. Yellow (and polka dots) for light and joy… Purple for Higher thoughts/words/actions – both colors associated with Gemini. Orange is the color of the spectrum for Gemini so a bit of orange around the edge. And of course green… for the heart center… for lush growth… harmony… freshness and renewal… of veriditas: of green and truth – “the greening power of God”, “the creative power of life.”
“We cannot live in a world that is not our own, in a world that is interpreted for us by others. An interpreted world is not a home. Part of the terror is to take back our own listening, to use our own voice, to see our own light.”
~ St. Hildegard von Bingen
AZ quotes
To take back our own listening – To what or to w/Whom are we listening?
To use our own voice – may the words we speak uplift and encourage love, compassion, justice, mercy, truth, unity and forgiveness.
To see our own light – and the light in those we meet and in the world we see – truly the same Light.
What a glorious change that would be! Truly transformational!
