Pisces Lunation Cycle,  March 6 – April 4, 2019:

The New Moon in Pisces begins a 29.6-day cycle with an emphasis on dissolution, release and surrender. This is a time when there is a more-than-usual need for inner quiet and concentration. You can tap into your creative imagination and/or get in touch with your spiritual path.  Your dreams contain the seeds of your future accomplishments. Let your intuition guide you through illusion. Give yourself as much alone time as possible to listen to the voice within. Let “Relax ~ Release ~ Renew” be your mantra for this cycle. The key word is central… Release. Release to open the space for something new.

The Pisces lunation always offers inspiration and this Pisces New Moon in particular because it is conjunct its planetary ruler, Neptune, AND less than 24 hours before the New Moon, Mercury stationed retrograde in Pisces, highlighting creative imagination for the entire cycle. This is an excellent period to examine your belief system, your spiritual practices, how you deal with anxiety and uncertainty, along with your escape mechanisms and tendencies. Be aware of overly optimistic goals and deceitful tactics. Be discerning about how you invest your time.

The chart is predominantly water and earth. The right mixtures of water and earth can produce structures and containers. However, too much water or earth can muddy visibility or cause things to become clogged. These are alchemical clues for making the best of the situation. You can use your faith to direct your creative imagination into something real and tangible or you can become confused and frightened, unable to dream or trust the future.

The simple rituals of daily life provide the grounding necessary for balance. Whether it’s your morning shower or your afternoon tea, pick an activity you do daily and do it with full consciousness every day throughout the month. Appreciate the sacredness of your activity and how your awareness changes its purpose. Magical insights occur in such moments.

The Full Moon on March 20 coincides with the Sun’s ingress into Aries, marking the astrological new year and providing the awareness and initiative to begin actualizing your dreams.

Questions you might explore for personal insight include:

  • What inspires you?
  • How do you access the sacred space within?
  • Do you listen to your intuition?
  • When do you feel most at peace?
  • What triggers your doubts and feeds your anxieties?
  • Where do you look for healing?
  • When do you feel most protective of your privacy and why?
  • What is your dearest illusion?
  • How can you express your unique gifts in a way that serves the whole or holy?

Affirmation for this cycle:

I trust in the power of Love.

Quote for this cycle:

“Magic is a matter of focusing the disciplined Will. But sometimes the Will must be abandoned. The secret lies in knowing when to exercise control and when to let it go.”
