Full Moon Lunar Eclipse August 7, 2017

The Full Moon on August 7 is receiving a lot of attention because it is also a Lunar Eclipse. Since it is a partial eclipse, the earth’s shadow doesn’t totally block the Moon’s reflection of the Sun’s light, making it easier to see how our ability to shine is shadowed by our material attachments. We are reminded how we are held in the dark by virtue of our perspective. In this eclipse the Sun is at 15º 25′ of Leo and the Moon is at 15º 25′ of Aquarius, standing at the southwestern gateway or the half-way point between the summer and fall (winter and spring in the Southern Hemisphere).

The creativity exists to for humankind to experience equality, without losing individuality or independence. It is time to look at our illusions about our abilities and adjust them accordingly to give and receive the love and light available at this time.

Leo is the sign of pride, courage, and royalty, who rule by Divine Right. Aquarius is the sign of humanity, innovation and progress. With the Sun in Leo opposite the Moon in Aquarius, we are challenged to access the Divinity within, the creative spirit within, and share it for the benefit of others.

This may be a time of letting go of associations or social groups that no longer align with your intentions, while connecting with a new circle of friends or organizations.
